Eating vegetables has never been easier. The so-called liquid detox salads (detoxifiers) are all the rage among fans of healthy eating, as they are simple to prepare, tasty, nutritious and light. A fantastic way to cleanse our body and return to the ideal weight after the excesses of the holidays or Christmas parties. It is also an alternative to enjoy salads but in a faster way and with an exquisite flavor.

A detox plan to detoxify

You only need a blender to prepare them and they are a high source of vitamins, making these salads a complete dish. If that seems too little, you can accompany them with pieces of low-fat ham, boiled egg or toasted whole wheat bread.

Liquid salad recipes

They are also practical. You can whip up a large quantity and store it for up to two days in the fridge. They do not recommend more than that time because they oxidize and the ingredients lose their nutritional value.

Here are some recipes to prepare them:

Beet and apple cream:

Ingredients:

  • 4 cooked beets.
  • 1 apple.
  • 1 medium onion.
  • 100 grams of cream cheese (better if it is light).
  • A glass of vegetable broth.
  • Olive oil.
  • Sea ​​salt.
  • Chives to decorate.

Elaboration:

Dice the beets and peeled apples. Sauté the onion in a frying pan with a little olive oil. Mix everything in the blender adding the broth and cheese. Season and decorate with chives.

Green and melon:

For this preparation we will need:

  • 1 and a half cucumber.
  • Half melon.
  • A sprig of celery.
  • A bag of watercress.
  • Salt and pepper.

Elaboration:

Peel clean and cut the melon into large pieces. Peel and dice the cucumber as well. Blend together with the watercress and diced celery. Season to taste. Cool it with ice cubes and serve immediately, you can now enjoy a salad to drink that will help cleanse your body.

Tomato and basil:

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo of tomatoes.
  • Water.
  • Fresh basil.
  • Sherry vinegar.
  • Sea ​​salt.
  • Olive oil.

Elaboration:

Blanch (go through boiling water) and peel the tomatoes, remove the seeds. Cut into cubes and put them in the blender with the salt, vinegar, a drizzle of oil and some basil leaves to taste. Mix well and pass through a strainer to achieve a creamier texture.

Refrigerate for a few minutes and serve this soup cold with a little more oil and the crumbled tofu in the center of the plate. Use some basil leaves to decorate.
