Ingredients:
– 1 ripe avocado.
– 1 medium banana (previously frozen in chunks is optimal).
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
– 1/2 cup of milk (almond milk, vanilla flavored almond milk, or water).
– 1/2 cup sugar (use unrefined organic sugar).
– 1 cup ice cubes (optional).
The avocado real make if so creamy and the sweetness of the banana and sugar helps it actually turn into “ice cream”.
Instructions:
Blend everything in the blender until smooth.
Store in a container in the freezer. The mixture will freeze in the freezer, and when it does, let it thaw for 5 minutes until you can gently extract it.
Note: After a week, this ice cream does not turn brown, although avocado tends to oxidize quickly. And, the flavor is still right in its place.
