This energizing juice is very rich in minerals and electrolytes. It fills the body with power and gives you a very complete hydration. Electrolytes perform very important functions that have to do with the proper functioning of the body.
The role of electrolytes
Electrolytes – sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphate – carry electrical charges that are responsible for stimulating the muscles and nerves. They also regulate the amount of fluids throughout the body, which affects cell function, blood volume, and blood pressure.
Sodium plays the main role in regulating the amount of water, but all of them help keep the body fluids balanced. The body maintains a specific amount of each electrolyte, since an exact proportion of each of them is needed to work properly.
How to make an energizing juice?
Why is it more advisable to prepare an energy drink at home, in order to replenish electrolytes and minerals? Store-bought energy drinks are made with chemically treated ingredients, refined sugars, contain food coloring, as well as artificial flavorings and other unhealthy ingredients, such as brominated vegetable oils.
All these are ingredients if we want to lead a healthy life, they are the ones that we would discard in our kitchen, so why should we take it in a drink? This is the main reason to prepare a homemade juice that provides electrolytes and minerals.
