Ingredients:

2 large Granny apples.
2 medium oranges + 1/4 teaspoon orange zest (peel is optional).
Juice of 2 large lemons.
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (add more if desired).
2 tablespoons pure honey ( or to taste).
1/2 – 3/4 cup walnuts.
3 tablespoons raisins.
2-3 teaspoons cold-pressed flax or olive oil.

Optional additions:

* A pinch of cayenne
* A chopped avocado for the healthiest fats
* some chopped seasonal fruits like pomegranate, pear, grapefruit.
* A few drops of real vanilla extract
* Flax and Chia seeds.

TIP! To quickly soften tough raisins run under hot water for a few seconds.

Instructions:

  1. Chop apples, add to large mixing bowl. Add the lemon juice.
    2. Peel and cut the orange. Add the orange and some grated orange peel (optional) to the mug.
    3. Add the raisins, cinnamon, honey and walnuts. Mix everything very well.
    4. Add the flax or olive oil one teaspoon at a time – stir and taste to see if it’s enough.
    5. Chill and serve.
